What does it look like regarding the limits and reliability of our perception in an increasingly computer-generated and AI-influenced visual world? The merging processes of digital media with reality lead to hybrid forms that exist between reality and virtuality. As a result, the informational and truth content of images appears more problematic than ever. Can we still trust images, can we still trust our own perception? Artists are exploring this development, provoking a confrontation with problematic certainties in the realm of images and challenging us to conduct a 'reality check.' Paintings, drawings, photographs, and spatial installations present labyrinthine image spaces, fascinating surfaces, and surreal events. Are things as they seem? Art becomes a field for critical observation, and the exhibition invites reflection on different realities and limited truths.
