By car
A limited number of parking spaces are located directly opposite the museum. Further parking facilities in the vicinity are located at the Stadthalle Ahlen (Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 3) and the street Freiheit, corner Kampstraße (parking zone 592001).

By train
Ahlen can be reached by regional train RE 6 (Minden – Cologne/Bonn Airport) and RB 69 (Münster – Bielefeld). The walk from the train station to the art museum takes about 10 minutes through Ahlen's city centre.
By bus
The museum is only a three-minute walk from the Weststraße bus stop. (Bus routes C5, C6, 353, 456, R54, R55)
By bike
The Ahlen Art Museum is located directly on the river Werse cycle path and is an excellent place to take a break.
Access
Access to the museum and the rooms of the new and old buildings is barrier-free. The transition from the new building to the historic town villa can be bridged via a lift behind the cash desk or via six steps with handrails in the exhibition. A glass elevator provides access to the upper and lower floors.
Toilets and checkrooms
There is a toilet for guests with limited mobility, checkrooms and lockers in the basement.
Seating facilities
There are various seating options in the rooms of the old building. There are folding stools available that can be taken into the exhibition rooms.
