Selected works provided an insight into the action art of Cologne-based artist Siglinde Kallnbach, who deals with social rituals and political events. She showed relics of past performances, films, image collages and installations that visualize her actions and projects, which are often carried out with full physical commitment. The themes of injury and healing, terror and solidarity run like a red thread through her work, with her art calling for cultural exchange, participation and empathy. Siglinde Kallnbach's name stands above all for her lifelong art project “a performancelife”, which she started in 2000 due to her own serious illness and in the context of which she continues to collect and transform expressions of solidarity worldwide.
