No other organisation reaches as many young people as schools. This is exactly where the ‘Kulturstrolche’ project comes in: It establishes a strong and sustainable network of primary schools, cultural institutions and local artists to give primary school children early access to various art forms, including theatre, music, literature, media, history, art and dance. The participants also discover the cultural diversity of their city. The Kunstmuseum Ahlen is actively involved in the city of Ahlen's ‘Kulturstrolche’ program.
The ‘Kulturstrolche’ program embodies the joy of discovery and the creative urge by taking a look behind the scenes of art and culture. Accompanied by their teachers, they playfully explore the various cultural disciplines as well as their locations and protagonists. They meet artists and experience the diversity of art and culture. In the process, they discover, observe and ask questions – but above all, they try out cultural forms of expression for themselves.
